My teaching activities at Ulm University cover surface and interface chemistry, electrochemistry, physical chemistry, and practical data-focused skills in modern research workflows. Furthermore, I supervised several students from Bachelor to PhD involved in projects that I coordinated or am involved in.
Aside from that I am involved in and lead projects that aim at adapting the curriculum to meet the requirements of rapidly changing society with respect to technological developments.
Collaborative Data Literacy Projects¶
“teaching incubator” FDM-LIN (funding from Ulm University), which involves the implementation of electronic lab notebooks (ELN) in the curriculum of engineering and natural sciences (October 2024 - September 2026).
Exchange of ideas and resources within NFDI4Chem (October 2025 - September 2029) to develop strategies for the implementation of data literacy in the curriculum.
Interdisciplinary experiments in advanced practical courses in chemistry and chemical engineering, funded by the “Fond der Chemischen Industrie”, where sample synthesis, functionalization, analysis, and application are conducted by different groups in different courses while using the same ELN (April 2026 - March 2029).
Overview of Teaching Experience¶
The experiences are mostly gained from teaching at Ulm University and a teaching in higher education course at the DTU (Danish Technical University).
